It’ll be double the festive cheer in Stockport now that a medieval ‘Winter Wassale’ event – including a Handmade Market – AND special festive market will both go ahead at Stockport Market, in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
The Winter Wassale festival, originally planned for Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 December, will now take place a week earlier on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 December.
The festival will celebrate Stockport Market’s historic origins with winter ales, ciders, meads, hog roast, pies and medieval themed entertainment. On the Sunday between 11am – 4pm it will run alongside the regular Handmade Market, offering a wide variety of stalls selling local produce, handmade goods and all sorts of unique gift ideas for Christmas.
Market traders will be running a special Christmas market on Sunday 23 December, offering great shopping as well as festive fun for all the family.
