Clean sweep for Mayor of Stockport at Solutions SK

Early riser, Mayor of Stockport Chris Gordon, called into visit the Streetcare team at Solutions SK as they set off on their 6am shift.

While most of us are still sleeping, men across Stockport who are part of the Solutions SK Streetcare team, are already working to keep our streets clean and tidy – no matter what the weather.

The Mayor of Stockport went along to thank the Streetcare team for the incredible job they do, which often goes unnoticed.

Managing Director of Solutions SK, Stephen Morris, explains: “Many of our teams, such as Streetcare, are a service people only really notice, when it’s not there.

“Our people work incredibly hard and because they do such a good job, they are rarely noticed or thanked. We felt, particularly as the cold season is upon us, it was important to recognise the hard work they do. What better way than to have our Stockport Mayor come and wish well in the run up to Christmas.”

Mayor of Stockport, Chris Gordon, said after the meeting: “It was an honour and privilege to be able to meet and thank, on behalf of the people of Stockport, all the unsung heroes who keep our environment clean, tidy and pleasant for our benefit.

“This type of event is the best part of being Mayor, to be able to thank all those who do an amazing and important job for Stockport, but often tend to be overlooked.”
