A convicted robber with links to Stockport has absconded from a Lancashire jail.
Barry Taun, 42, was serving an indeterminate sentence after a robbery in 2007 in Fallowfield, Manchester.
Police said he absconded from HMP Kirkham, near Preston, on Sunday. He is known to have links to the Fallowfield, Withington and Stockport areas.
Officers from the Greater Manchester force said Taun is known to be violent and members of the public are being urged not to approach him.
