Glenbrook is an independently owned property company, which specialises in development, investment and asset management.
Based in Manchester and headed up by directors Ian Sherry and Guy Butler, the company has a £30m investment portfolio and has developed commercial and residential schemes across the UK, working with funding partners such as Barings Real Estate, Moorfield and Clarion. In September 2019, Glenbrook acquired the former M&S building in Stockport town centre and is currently transforming the building into an office-led mixed-use scheme with retail and leisure space.
Glenbrook uses its own resources to identify and acquire development opportunities, spending time to consider where value might be added with further investment. Once a programme of investment has been defined and secured (for example on receipt of planning), the source of funding options are appraised, and a partner is normally brought in. Following delivery of the programme the enhanced asset is either traded or retained by the partner.
